Sixty years of Lancashire engineering, poured into every door we make.
We have spent over 15 years perfecting our craft. We manufacture bespoke steel doors for people who care about every detail. Every frame is designed, fabricated and finished by our own hands in our workshop in Lancashire.
Vision In Steel began long before the first door left our workshop. Steel is not a material we adopted. It is the one we grew up with.
Our family business, Bailey Engineering and Fabrication, has spent over 60 years at the sharp end of British engineering: precision work for the nuclear industry, structural fabrications for homes and commercial buildings, and everything demanding in between.
Today our third-generation Director brings that precision to something more personal. Bespoke steel doors and screens, drawn with a keen eye for detail and made entirely by hand in our Lancashire workshop, with materials sourced from local independent companies. Provenance matters to us as much as it does to our clients.
Every door we make is unique. We measure, custom-fit and finish each piece for the home it will live in, with complete control of every detail, from frames to finishes.

Every commission starts as a drawing, resolved with you line by line: sightlines, glazing bars, hardware and finish, agreed before a single length of steel is cut.
Welded, ground and finished by hand in Poulton-le-Fylde by craftsmen with engineering in their blood. Every frame is checked against the drawings before it leaves.
Fitted by the same team that made it, with your site survey carried out by our company Director. We are not done until it sits exactly as it was drawn.

"They are absolutely beautiful. Tom was fantastic to work with and created exactly what we wanted in our home. I'm over the moon."Private client
